Restrictions of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) European Directive

The original Directive 2002/95/EC including 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) and 2015/863(RoHS 3) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment published effective July 1, 2006. And now republished effective June 4, 2015 states new electronic products and components that fall into designed categories have limits on the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chrome, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) or polybrominated diphenyls ethers (PBDEs), Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP), Butyl Benzyl Phthalate (BBP), Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) and Diisobutyl Phthalate (DIBP). To that end, we are working diligently with our suppliers to ensure all components used in our manufacturing processes are safe and free of the above mentioned substances.
