Shop Surface Gages
Surface Gages are primarily used to extend reference surfaces from it's
precision ground base. These gages are typically used in conjunction
with a direct measuring tool to transfer a dimension either to or from a
work piece.
This tool is typically used in conjunction with a surface plate, but can also be used to identify specific points in space. Hardened scribes and test indicators are often attached to these tools. often used as the transfer contacts.
